Is this 100% cashmere? Why does the content say 90% cashmere?

Alpine Revival uses 100% sustainably sourced long staple cashmere yarns. Our supplier specializes in high-quality cashmere yarns, both pure and blended. We utilize 100% cashmere yarn then spin a smaller diameter elastane strand together with the yarn prior to weaving into pur sweater and beanie patterns. Thus, the care label reveals the performance blend we created to bring you the highest quality, most durable and soft sweater you can wear on all your adventures.

How do I take care of my new sweater?

We suggest hand washing in lukewarm, clean water with a mild liquid detergent. Ideal detergents include anything made specifically for wool or cashmere, and nothing with harsh stain removers, bleach or brighteners. Never put your sweater or beanie in a dryer. We suggest minimizing washing frequency, as excessive washing can loosen fibers. Items can also be machine washed if you are very familiar with the machine being used and can rely on its ability to wash delicate items without damage at cool temps with minimal spinning. Lie flat on a clean towel to dry. Avoid hanging. For heavy soiling, see our blog post on cleaning tips. For any pilling, use a sweater comb or fabric shaver gently.
